Last week, the ACEWASHTECH PP Filler Masterbatch Twin Screw Compounding Machine completed its commissioning. This efficient, high-quality plastic recycling and modification line combines a twin-screw compounder with a plastic pelletizer.
Production Line Components
Automatic Batching System: Accurately measure PP resin, filler powder (such as calcium carbonate), coupling agent and other additives. This is the first step to ensure the accuracy of product formula.
Twin Screw Compounding Machine: Completes core processes such as material melting, mixing, dispersion, and devolatilization (removal of water and low-molecular-weight volatiles).
Melt Gear Pump (optional): Installed at the main machine outlet, it stabilizes extrusion pressure and provides a uniform melt flow rate, creating stable conditions for the subsequent plastic pelletizing machine and improving pellet uniformity.
Downstream Pelletizing Machine: This is the key step in forming the mixed melt into the final pellet product. Depending on the process, there are two main methods:
Underwater Strand Pelletizing System: The melt is extruded through a die into strands, cooled in a water tank, and then cut into uniform pellets by a pelletizer. This is a very common and stable pelletizing method.
Underwater Pelletizing System: The melt is pelletized and cooled directly underwater. This system offers high output, more uniform pellet shapes (spherical), and a high degree of automation, making it suitable for large-scale production.
Auxiliary System: including cooling water system, vibrating screen, dehydrator, automatic packaging scale, etc., which together complete the cooling, screening, drying and packaging of particles.
